JARANA explores traditional collective practices that have fallen out of use or are at risk of doing so. On the one hand, it invites reflection on the importance of preserving traditional celebrations, while on the other, it examines new forms of collective expression in an increasingly changing and technological world.

JARANA is both a celebration and an investigation, concluding a cycle of three proposals centred on traditional collective practices. The investigation reflects its creator’s fascination with observing participation in collective practices, recognising in them the roots of humanity’s need for connection and belonging.
