Guided tours of art and architecture
Within the framework of the Barcelona Architecture Weeks, A-FAD is organising specialised guided tours of spaces where art and architecture collide. In the words of the researcher Renteria Arnaiz, the union between movements such as constructivism, neoplasticism and the Bauhaus was the belief that art, in collusion with architecture, was a transforming agent capable of recovering an organic relationship with society. By fostering this union through visits to the spaces where the creative activity from which both disciplines are born takes place, A-FAD seeks to make the processes, materials and forms present in the daily lives of artists, craftsmen and architects accessible to the public. A-FAD invites you to mix art, architecture and pleasure, to, in the words of Javier Montes, enjoy a walk in silence that stimulates the five senses, the body, the memory and the imagination. Two unique journeys through space and matter in collaboration with GRAF, the platform that brings together contemporary creative programming in Catalonia.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 24th, at 11am in the Gràcia district, where we will be organising a guided tour of the following spaces:
-Architecture studios: SCOB , Jorge Vidal.
-Artists and craftspeople workshops: Zengue Slow Jewellery, Aldo Alcántara , Claymoss.
On Saturday, May 24th, at 4 p.m., in the Ciutat Vella neighborhood, you can visit:
-Architectural studios: Fundació Enric Miralles and the workshop and studio of the architect and artist Cristina Gómez García, member of the A-FAD board.
