"La Caída" is a dance piece that delves into the complexity of human relationships and how they can descend to abysmal depths. At times, the bond between two people can be more powerful than reason or will, so much so that the individual dissolves into the shared duality.

These ties arise from the unconscious, forged by that which remains hidden within the relationship itself. What happens when we fall into a relationship of love and hate? What draws us to and what distances us from the other? Is the other truly the cause of my conflicts? Who am I to the other?

The term persona originates from Latin and initially referred to a theatrical mask used by actors in ancient Roman theatre. We all wear masks and relate to others through them because they identify us, yet they also conceal our deepest selves, often even from ourselves.
